You have a good level of foresight and plan on staying in your home for the remainder of your days. How do you prepare your home so you don't have to extensively remodel it when you get older, ill or become inform? How do you design it so that you can stay in your home? That's what this section of the National Association of Home Builders deals with. It certifies folks as specialists in Aging in Place. They tell you what changes you can do to make your home safer now and make preparations for later -- while you're doing your present remodel.
