Late this afternoon we received a message from an ElderHope friend - one of our readers - saying that her father died earlier this morning and that she was leaving to board a plane to another country for his funeral. Because our friend wanted so badly to be with her father and care for him in his final days, and was unable to be with him during his sudden decline and death, it makes his passing so much harder.
Please keep our friend and her family in your tenderest thoughts and prayers. May she find some comfort in knowing that those who care about her and her father's death are blessing her with love and support.

I just wanted to say that I, too, was unable to be with my dad when he died, though I really wanted to be there. It really hurt for a long time, thinking that he died without me being able to tell him again that I loved him and to thank him for his love. But after a while, I slowly began to understand that it was really the time that we shared together that was the most important time and that those memories would stay with me forever.
So, I will keep the reader in my prayers and hope that even in her grief that those memories from the past of time shared together will bring some comfort. Jess
